MY BACKGROUND


Born in Halifax I grew up splitting time between the Ocean and Ontario.
 
Coming home in 2019 we settled in Halifax and have been enjoying everything that Nova Scotia has to offer ever since.
 
You’ll catch me documenting the beautiful landscape with my dog Una and my wife Hannah. I’ve been photographing since picking up a camera more than 10 years ago, falling in love with the medium’s ability to freeze a moment in time.

After studying photography at Ryerson University and pursuing my own artistic practice, I fell in love with photographing weddings. The perfect blend of artistic creation and the ability to preseve meaningful moments for others, drives my passion for telling stories behind the lens.

I combine documentary, fine art photography with the grace of your love story. Creating photographs that are as timeless as they are meaningful.

  • 1. What makes your wedding photography different from others?
    I blend fine art, editorial artistry with raw, unscripted storytelling. My real focus is how it feels to work with me. I create a calm, intentional, and low-stress environment so you can actually experience your wedding day. No stiff posing or minute by minute playbook, just effortless guidance. You get to stay fully present in the moment while we capture timeless, sophisticated imagery that feels completely authentic to who you are.
  • 2. I’m awkward in front of the camera. Will my photos still look that natural?
    Almost every couple you see in my portfolio started by saying the exact same thing. Effortless photos don’t come from perfect models; they come from a relaxed environment. I won’t force you into rigid, frozen poses. Instead, I’ll offer you natural, fluid direction and space to interact naturally. My goal is to make it feel like a date where a friend happens to have a camera, I want you look like your most confident, authentic self.
  • 3. We love a documentary approach, but will we still get traditional family portraits?
    Absolutely. Preserving family legacy is such an important part of a wedding day. I approach traditional formals with the exact same editorial discipline. Prior to the day, we’ll establish a precise, curated shot list. On the wedding day, we are fully prepared to capture these portraits and make your family look impeccably composed, without turning your cocktail hour into a production.
  • 4. How is the final gallery delivered?
    Each gallery is handcrafted and edited to flow and feel like a perfect representation of your day. You’ll be provided a link to a private online gallery where all of your images will be available to download in full resolution for six months after delivery.
  • 5. What is the turnaround time for a gallery?
    I hand craft each image to weave a cohesive and beautiful story. During peak wedding season, my turnaround time is four weeks from your event date, with a small “sneak peek” gallery available 72 hours after you hit the dance floor.
  • 6. How many photos can we expect in our gallery?
    I strive to deliever only the highest quality, hand picked images that tell the full story of your day. The total amount varies by event and coverage length, typically I deliver 50 images per hour of event coverage. This allows me to provide the best possible album, and is often the part of editing that takes the most care and consideration.
